Equipment Washing
The Mine Equipment Washer (MEW) is built from the proven components and technology selected from the Vestergaard aircraft service vehicles. The MEW is designed to pioneer the industry with the safest innovative washing capabilities.
The MEW has a small footprint with a uniquely stable high reach EWP capable of reaching 15 metres. The Volvo chassis suspension is integrated with the Vestergaard body to provide a stable platform that can still perform in 72km/h winds.
The MEW can be manoeuvered easily around fixed plant and parked closely to any structure for EWP access. The basket and boom are equipped with proximity sensors to locate the exact position of the operator to the truck and sensors from the basket to prevent contact.
An anemometer is fixed to the basket and monitors wind speed in the air and alarms the operator when air speed is too high to operate safely.
There is onboard water storage of 7000 litres and a 230kW diesel heater to heat the water up to 95 degrees celsius. The storage tanks are insulated to ensure water temperature is retained and ready for the desired application.
Water can be supplied in a high flow or high pressure configuration. Bulk washing can be delivered at 230 l/min with 25 Bar of pressure or detailed washing with 250 Bar of High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ). The MEW can be trammed by the operator in the basket like a true EWP vehicle with full control of steering and brakes.
